Why I Started EvolveGTM
For over 20 years, I've been obsessed with what separates good companies from great ones. I've been part of three GTM teams that achieved Unicorn valuations — at Saba, SAP Fieldglass, and Beamery — and I've seen firsthand that it's almost never the product that makes the difference. It's the engine.
Great products fail every day because of a broken GTM motion. Misaligned sales and marketing. A delivery organization that leaks revenue instead of expanding it. Leadership teams that know something is wrong but can't diagnose exactly what. I've seen this pattern so many times that I built a systematic methodology to fix it.
"I don't advise from the outside. I get in the room, understand the business, and drive the change myself. That's the only way to ensure it actually works."
In my most recent role, I was installed by a PE firm as the CEO of Netive VMS. I led a full-scale turnaround — transforming not just the GTM function, but the entire Delivery organization, including Implementation, Professional Services, Support, and Customer Success. The results validated the methodology I had been developing for years.
At the same time, I witnessed the AI revolution firsthand. Rather than waiting for IT or hiring a development team, I picked up the tools myself — Replit, Cursor, Claude, Figma — and built the applications my business needed. An employee onboarding app. An OKR management tool. A marketing hub. A product launch coordinator. Each one deployed in weeks, not months, at a fraction of the cost of traditional development.
I started EvolveGTM to bring this practitioner's perspective to a consulting market full of theorists. We don't just deliver slide decks. We deliver results, because we've been the ones accountable for them.
